The core values of any organisation are rarely documented, but in most cases reflect the founder’s intentions, actions and wishes. At any time, an organisation’s culture is merely a reflection of how well the people within that organisation adhere to those core values.

Several years ago we asked all of our people (including the founders) to write down their own thoughts on what they valued and expected from the organisation, themselves and each other. Below is a summary of those thoughts. It serves as a representation of goa's people and what we have come to regard as goa's Core Values.

Every day, how we behave and what we decide should reflect these values and in turn, the way we practise these principles should determine how we are measured and rewarded.

People - As individuals, courtesy, manners, respect, charm and a sense of humour can take us some way in life. Add focus, loyalty, trust, honesty and discipline and we can go a lot, lot further.

Sustainable success is rarely achieved in isolation. To quote Kipling from The Jungle Book: “The strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack." Ultimately, the best performing individuals are those who are team players, who know when to lead and know when to follow.

The role of any manager or leader is based on respect and empathy for those they work with and around facilitating and encouraging people to succeed and grow within the organisation, at both a personal and professional level. It is only then that the true potential of us all can be realised.

Clients - First and foremost goa is a client focused organisation. Every day we strive to provide prompt, professional service, advice and delivery that is recognised as being the best in the market and, most importantly, focused on outcomes for our customers.

Profitability– This is ultimately why we are in business. It is fundamental to our success. Profits come from providing our clients with genuine value. It funds our continued growth and in turn is used to reward both our employees and shareholders.
