In July 2015, goa helped Queensland Music Festival (QMF) broadcast performances from the large-scale, unique social media event Keys to the City across Brisbane.
QMF came to goa with a challenge that was music to our ears – to bring Keys to the City to life on the streets of Brisbane. Held every day of QMF 2015, Keys to the City offered everyone - young and old, beginner or virtuoso, solo performers or ensembles of any kind – the opportunity to get their 15 minutes of fame, performing live on one of 20 roving pianos.
From July to August 2015, QMF and goa launched a major partnership across Brisbane. Using goa Connect, we created a large scale media activation which saw us broadcast live performances and location announcements across THE goa GRID and THE ICONIC SERIES. The partnership also began with a performance from James Morrison live at THE CORO ICONIC, streamed to clients and friends across the country.
Over 1,200 people performed across the two week period!
The campaign generated amazing social content across the period and was covered by various news outlets.
The campaign won the OMA’s Creative Collection Award for Best Use of Technology/Innovation.
