#GoodWorks For Good Reason
While self-reward should never be the reason that we perform an act of kindness, there’s something beautiful about sharing good deeds and celebrating them. Doing good feels good... and it unites people.
To help the Brisbane’s community foster this feeling, St Vincent de Paul Society and goa have partnered to create the #GoodWorks campaign.
This is designed to hero the power of social leadership, in every aspect of a person’s day-to-day life. In turn creating goodwill within communities through simple acts of kindness, that when knitted together highlight greater change.
Focusing on the 18-35 year olds of Brisbane, #GoodWorks will call on people to promote acts of kindness they witness amongst their colleagues and friendship circles. They can enter their ‘#GoodWorks’ into a weekly competition, highlighting them on either Facebook and/or Instagram with an image of the witnessed act, ultimately increasing their social merit.
The top weekly submission will win a pop-up pizza party at their workplace, supported by The NRMA Brisbane Broncos who are a charity partner of the St Vincent de Paul Society. The intention is for the winner to share their newly gained social vibes with their community.
Chris Tyquin, goa CEO, commented on the campaign, saying that “We are honoured to be working with our long-term partner, Vinnies, on such a great initiative,”
“We are extremely proud that this year, the goa family will be donating a million dollars of advertising spend to charity. Not only is it great for the charities, but great that as a business we are in a position to comfortably ‘give back’.”
#GoodWorks is a three-phrase marketing campaign that will integrate across multiple channels, utilising; social media (Facebook and Instagram), THE goa GRIDTM, and traditional channels. The communication’s main goal is to increase the brand’s awareness, and target corporate involvement in the lead up to the 2016 CEO Sleepout.#GoodWorks launches 13th May, through to 21 June 2016 and anyone can get involved at the St Vincent de Paul Society's website.
