In May 2014 goa launched ‘Banzai Brew’ – a fake rice brew to help us spread the word about our new screen at Toowong. We invited the Brisbane public to get involved by becoming the face of the new brand!

The Challenge

THE ICONIC SERIES™ is goa’s premium digital billboard offering and THE CORO ICONIC was the first of the series to go live. Our challenge was to launch Brisbane’s best digital billboard in an engaging, memorable way.

The Solution

To answer this brief, goa launched ‘Banzai Brew’ – a fake rice brew to help goa bring Brisbane’s Best Digital Billboard Screen to life at Toowong. We invited the Brisbane public to get involved by becoming the face of the new brand. Our custom-designed platform allowed users to upload a selfie and design artwork to go on the billboard – even notifying them when it was about to go live on our website!

The Results

The campaign generated hundreds of ‘Banzai labels’ with entrants' selfies featured – each displayed on THE CORO ICONIC!
Over 66,000 people checked us out on Facebook.
These results were achieved with just one billboard!
