Eat Street Northshore is a Brisbane institution. If you’ve ever driven past on your way down the river, you know the feeling - the sudden hit of colour, energy, music and food that makes you want to pull over and be part of it. That feeling was what we wanted to capture in this roadside moment. We didn’t just want to advertise Eat Street. We wanted to translate the experience itself into something people could feel before they even arrived.

Working closely with Talent Corp, the idea was simple: extend Eat Street beyond the frame.

Designed to Break the Frame

At the centre of the build are three deliberate craft decisions that shape the execution.

The first is the frame extension. Rather than treating the billboard as a fixed boundary, we pushed key brand elements beyond it, physically extending Eat Street into the surrounding space. It immediately disrupts expectation and creates something that feels alive and three dimensional.

The second is lighting. Custom illumination was integrated into the structure to transform the supersite after dark. Instead of disappearing at night, the billboard becomes even more expressive, echoing the atmosphere of Eat Street itself.

The third is print treatment. With so much colour and texture in the creative, bespoke print finishes were used to ensure every detail carried the same vibrancy and energy the brand is known for. Nothing here is standard - every surface was considered and refined to hold impact at scale.

Each of these elements works together, not as features, but as craft decisions designed to translate experience into form.

More Than a Billboard

Eat Street is not a passive brand - it’s loud, social and full of movement. So the challenge wasn’t just visibility, it was translation.

How do you take something people feel when they arrive and make them feel it on the drive in?

The answer was to treat the supersite as an extension of the destination itself, not a separate touchpoint. What we created is a roadside moment that mirrors the experience waiting at the end of the journey.

Collaboration and Craft

Projects like this only work when creative thinking is matched with technical precision.

A huge thank you to our production team for bringing this build to life with such attention to detail. From engineering the extensions to refining the lighting and print execution, every part of the process was essential in making the final result feel seamless.

The Result

The finished supersite doesn’t just promote Eat Street Northshore -  it gives you a taste of it.

It captures the feeling of arriving before you’ve even parked the car, turning a high-traffic Brisbane corridor into part of the experience itself.

That’s the power of thinking beyond the frame.
