Chris Tyquin receives OMA Outstanding Service Award

Posted 9 May

We’re proud to share that the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) has honoured our Executive Director, Chris Tyquin, with the 2025 Outstanding Service Award.

This award celebrates individuals who’ve made a lasting contribution to the Out-of-Home (OOH) industry; and with more than 35 years of leadership, creativity, and dedication under his belt, Chris is the perfect recipient.

Always ahead of the curve

Chris has never been one to sit still. Over the years, he’s helped transform outdoor media from simple static posters into a dynamic, digital-first channel. Some of his most memorable initiatives include:

  • LOWD – a content-led billboard platform designed to spark conversation and entertain commuters.
  • goaConnect – a self-service portal that makes managing campaigns quick and easy.
  • RSS-triggered billboards – live updates like weather, sports scores and news, keeping creative relevant in the moment.
  • THE ICONIC SERIES – architecturally designed billboards that double as landmarks in the Brisbane cityscape.

Leadership beyond goa

Chris’s contribution goes far beyond our own business. As a Director and former Chair of the OMA Board, he has helped shape industry standards, strengthen measurement frameworks, and encourage collaboration across the sector.

He has also ensured community remains at the heart of what we do — with goa donating more than $1 million in advertising space each year to local charities, not-for-profits, and community organisations.

Industry Recognition

At this year’s OMA Awards, goa COO Deb Langham proudly accepted the award on Chris’s behalf. The announcement was met with a warm round of applause from peers right across the industry — a true reflection of the respect Chris has earned, and the impact he continues to have on Out-of-Home.
